Presentation guidance notes

First, the important bit - we're not telling you that there is a right answer or way of doing this - we believe that you can show us loads of ways of communicating the message to use water wisely.

BUT....there are a few important things that you need to bear in mind when you are building your presentation or leaflet.

Length

Think about how long your presentation is going to be - we reckon your slideshow should  last for about three minutes max - otherwise your audience might drift off.

Audience

You need to think about your audience - make the message work for the people who will see it.

Less can be better than more

You need to use images, data, charts, information and movie clips carefully to get your message  across - less information is often better than too many things to remember.

Your own photos

It would be great to see some of your photos or illustrations in a presentation. If you do, please keep them as small jpeg files   (the resource bank photos all have a scaled height of 600 pixels).

Permission stuff

Please do not use photos or music without copyright permission - this is important if you obtain pictures from other internet sites or scan them from books, magazines   etc.

Also, you must have someone's written permission if they are photographed for your   presentation.

Last but not least...

Remember that we do want people to use water - this presentation is about getting them to use it wisely!
