When we began planning a new curriculum resource about water use with teachers, several curriculum areas identified, including Science, Geography, Citizenship and PSHE.
But feedback told us that the problem with targeting a specific curriculum area, and within that a specific topic, is that if the subject has already been planned or taught, then the approach will not be used by that teacher until the following year, if at all.
Therefore a more generic approach to content has been developed, so that H2knOw can be picked up and adapted by teachers from the various curriculum areas outlined above, plus some new ones, principally ICT.
Communication is at the heart of education. By understanding an idea so that you can explain it to someone else, you take that idea on board.
We hope that your students will enjoy the creative challenge of communicating key issues about climate change and water use, and will be enthused and inspired by the opportunity to see their work on wider display.
